Ordering a Honed blood test is straightforward. This guide walks you through each step: from choosing your panel to scheduling your collection appointment.
Before You Start
Have the following ready:

- A debit or credit card (AUD)

Step 1: Choose Your Panel
Visit our panels page or start with our quiz if you're unsure which panel to choose.
Two Options:
- Essential Panel (AUD $249): Comprehensive health assessment covering cardiovascular, metabolic, nutritional, and organ function markers. Perfect for general health tracking or baseline fitness testing.
- Performance Panel (AUD $349): Everything in Essential, plus testosterone, cortisol, creatine kinase, and inflammation markers. Ideal for athletes, serious fitness enthusiasts, and detailed recovery tracking.

Once you've decided, click "Order Now" on the panel you want.
Step 2: Create or Log In to Your Account
First-time users:
- Enter your email address
- Create a password (at least 8 characters)
- Check your email for a confirmation link and verify your account
Returning customers:
- Log in with your email and password
- Skip to Step 4
Account creation takes 2 minutes. We need your account to deliver results securely and track your health over time.
Step 3: Confirm Your Panel and Review Order
You'll see a summary:
- Panel name and markers included
- Price (including GST)
- Estimated delivery time (Results within 3-5 business days of sample collection)
Review and confirm. If you want to change panels, you can go back. Otherwise, proceed to checkout.

- Choose a date (appointments typically available within 7 days)
- Choose a time slot (most centres open 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday)

Important: Collection is quick (5-10 minutes). The phlebotomist will take a small blood sample using a standard needle. You don't need an appointment confirmation; your details are in the pathology system, and they'll have your test ready when you arrive.

Step 6: Confirmation & Payment Receipt
After scheduling, you'll see:
- Order confirmation (also emailed to you)
- Collection appointment details (date, time, address, centre phone number)
- Your order number

What Happens Next
On Your Collection Day
Arrive at your appointment time. Tell the phlebotomist your name. They'll verify your details and take your blood sample. The whole process takes 5-15 minutes.
You'll receive a receipt confirming your sample was collected.
After Collection
- Your sample goes to our accredited lab
- Results are ready within 3-5 business days
- You'll receive an email notification when results are available

Q: Can someone else collect on my behalf? A: No. The collection centre needs the person whose blood is being tested to be present with photo ID. This is for safety and pathology protocols.
Q: What if I miss my appointment? A: If you don't show, your test is cancelled and your payment is forfeited (unless cancelled through your account at least 24 hours prior). You can reorder anytime.
